Summary:
Shumaker is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Analyst to help us by being a subject matter expert on the firm’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system UKG. Your day-to-day duties will include managing and maintaining HR data, processes and metrics; performing data related reporting; and generally, support system and technology-related HR and diversity initiatives. This position will ideally sit in our Toledo, Ohio office. We are open to the hire sitting in one of these other offices for the right fit: Akron, Columbus or Toledo, Ohio; Sarasota or Tampa, Florida; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Charlotte, North Carolina; or Charleston, South Carolina.

Essential Duties:
- Assist with HCM technology systems and related tasks associated with HR, diversity and recruiting projects and initiatives.
- Respond to internal data and audit requests by creating, analyzing, and providing data reports.
- Analyze and synthesize external data sources such as compensation and insurance benchmark data for internal application.
- Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HCM system and payroll outputs, employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.
- Develop and enhance HR data reporting practices in support of evolving firm needs.
- Interface with internal departments to ensure best use of HR systems and their nitration with other relevant internal systems.
- Assist with workflow improvement processes.
- Collaborate with and provide backup support for routine payroll processes.
- Collaborate with Diversity Counsel Members and assist with Mansfield reporting requirements.
- Maintain job descriptions and assist with conducting periodic classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified and exempt or nonexempt.
- Train peers and new hire employees on system usage.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study (e.g. human resources, computer science, data science, applied statistics).
- A minimum of three years working company data systems in an analytical role is required, including working with the HCM system UKG.
- Requires competency in effectively and accurately managing and utilizing HRIS data.
- Strong analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and associated solution implementation.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, ability to analyze large amounts of data, translate data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Requires learning agility, discipline, flexibility, self-start, forward-thinking and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Sits frequently, 6 out of 7.5 hours per day. Siting position static for up to one-half hour at a time.
- Lifts and carries up to 15 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day.
- Bends and stoops occasionally, up to one-half hour per day.
