Our team seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Package Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Package Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring that products are properly packed according to company and client standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging equipment efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Perform set-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures for packaging machines as required.
- Ensure all products are packed correctly, maintaining quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect and monitor packaging lines, making necessary adjustments to prevent downtime or defects.
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues with the packaging equipment.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure all finished goods meet company and retailer standards.
- Maintain accurate production records, including product counts and packaging data.
- Comply with safety, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on packaging machinery as needed.
- Assist with other tasks as directed by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in machinery operations is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
- Familiarity with operating packaging machinery (experience in the oral care industry is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machinery issues.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift items up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to work with minimal supervision.
