Responsibilities:
Culinary Execution: Prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency according to Gallion's high standards. Ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen is of the highest quality.
Station Management: Efficiently manage your assigned station, whether it’s sauté, grill, fry, or another area of the kitchen. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station throughout service.
Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and appearance of every dish.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and fellow line cooks to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders. Communicate effectively to maintain a smooth workflow during service.
Food Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Prep Work: Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and setting up stations for success during service.
Adaptability: Be prepared to assist with other kitchen duties as needed, such as inventory management, receiving deliveries, and cleaning tasks.
Continuous Improvement: Show a willingness to learn and improve your culinary skills. Stay updated on industry trends and be open to feedback and training.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a line cook in a high-volume, upscale dining environment is preferred. Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
Culinary Passion: A genuine love for cooking and a commitment to delivering outstanding food. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to food preparation, ensuring every dish meets Gallion's quality and presentation standards.
Team Player: Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a cohesive team. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
