Job Summary:
Serve guests in a courteous, helpful, and prompt manner. Responsible for coordinating serving stations and communicating with the front and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds our guests’ expectations. Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared accurately and timely. Determine when meals have been completed and total bills and accept payment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains a positive attendance record
- Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards.
- Know all menu items offered at the restaurant. Accurately explains specials to guests. If asked, accurately answers menu items concerning preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items accompanying the dish. If asked, specify substitutions for items on the menu
- Observes table numbering procedures and works assigned section 100% of the time.
- Conducts the first greet with guests within 2 minutes after they are seated. Then, he takes orders if time permits or informs guests that they will return within 3 minutes to assist them.
- Performs menu merchandising procedures accurately by listing and explaining the specials, suggesting items, and upselling when appropriate.
- Take beverage and food orders accurately for all tables. Have less than 2% return of food to the kitchen due to order mistakes.
- Legibly completes guest checks and accurately enters orders into the POS system following company procedures with 100% accuracy.
- Picks up orders and completes plate preparation correctly as specified by company plating procedures.
- Performs check-back procedures with tables within 2 minutes of receiving appetizers, main course, and dessert course.
- Totals and presents checks and carries out payment procedures with 100% accuracy that pertains to the Server role.
- Performs side work duties correctly as specified in the “Side work Duties” of the Server role.
- Follows all end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy as specified in the “End of Shift/Checkout Procedures” of a Server role.
- Follows the alcohol serving procedures regarding beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracy.
- Pre-buss tables and re-set them for the next guest.
- Maintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with station duties and side work when needed or when available.
- Follows tip reporting regulations 100% of the time by keeping track of daily tips and following reporting procedures outlined by the Internal Revenue Service.
Qualifications:

Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods

- Capable of working in extremely hot or cold environments
