Responsibilities :

Culinary Leadership :

Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, development, and execution, ensuring all dishes align with Gallion's high standards.

Supervise kitchen staff, providing hands-on leadership, training, and mentorship to maintain consistency and quality.

Daily Operations :

Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, station management, and service execution.

Maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring the team operates cohesively during service.

Quality Assurance :

Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure every dish reflects Gallion’s commitment to excellence.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Inventory and Cost Control :

Manage inventory, ordering, and storage to minimize waste and control food costs.

Assist in developing and maintaining budgets for kitchen operations.

Problem Solving :

Address challenges swiftly and effectively, maintaining a calm and positive kitchen environment.

Adapt to guest preferences and special requests, creating a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications : Experience :

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or comparable role in an upscale dining environment.

Proven track record in leadership, menu development, and kitchen operations.

Culinary Expertise :

Strong understanding of diverse cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and plating aesthetics.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Leadership Skills :

Exceptional ability to motivate, train, and collaborate with a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Time Management :

Effective organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
