Summary:
ShureLine Electrical is seeking an Electrical Estimator to lead and manage the development of accurate and competitive project cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring alignment with customer expectations, business goals, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical estimating, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial and industrial projects.
- At least 4 years of hands-on electrical field experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of electrical project estimation and cost analysis.
- Perform detailed electrical take-offs and develop comprehensive estimates.
- Analyze estimated vs. actual project costs to refine future estimates.
- Collaborate with the fabrication shop and field crews to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain accurate control of documents, drawing revisions, and change orders.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to electricians and project teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Prepare construction budgets for both new and existing clients.
- Conduct jobsite inspections and workflow analysis to ensure efficiency.
- Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with stakeholders.
- Support business growth by identifying and engaging potential customers.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
- Comfortable with networking and client outreach to expand business opportunities.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards.
- Willingness to travel as needed for projects and client meetings.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work with a strong safety focus.
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proficiency in estimation software and data/cost analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of finance, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical specifications and civil design documents.
- Experience in reviewing and creating detailed proposals and contracts.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on team development.
- Adaptability to changing project needs and client requirements.
