Job Title : Radiology Technologist / EMT Basic
Basic purpose :
Provide mobile X-Ray, Labs, EKG and basic medical assessment and treatment (if applicable) services to patients in a wide variety of settings.
Essential functions :
Perform and process X-Rays and submit / transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
Perform EKGs and transmit EKGs to a physician for interpretation.
Draw blood samples in the appropriate color-coded containers for lab value processing.
Obtain urine samples for proper lab values.
Perform basic labs duties as detailed in lab protocol and procedures.
Demonstrate regular attendance.
Communicate efficiently and perform professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
Maintain required State licenses / ARRT / EMT-B Certification, health requirements, and operational requirements.

Other Functions :
Attend meetings as required.
Connect and disconnect Holter Monitors.
Submit accurate and timely time sheets as per protocol.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and maintenance schedule through Supervisors and Bio-med. Other responsibilities including scanning, filing, faxing, photocopying, and mailings.
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisors / Managers
Train other technologists as required.
Working conditions :
Employees work in all weather and driving conditions.
Exposure to a variety of medical conditions.
Moderately heavy lifting is required to move the X-Ray equipment from the vehicle to the patient's bedside and lift or move patients, furniture, etc.
Majority of work activity performed in various nursing homes, homecare, prisons and processing sites throughout regions serviced by Arclight Medical by traveling in a provided automobile to the location.
Safety requirements :
Arclight Medical suggests the use of back supports, handcarts, ramps, etc. and will provide the employee with one should he / she choose this option.
Minimize radiation exposure to patients, their family / visitors, roommates, client staff, and Arclight Medical staff.
Produce standard radiographic views in accordance with company policy, billing regulations, and physician orders.
Use universal precautions when having direct patient contact.
Wear lead aprons when x-raying a patient and provide protection for others who must remain in the room.
Wear Radiation Monitor while on duty and submit for exposure reading monthly.
Qualifications :
A.R.R.T. certified and state licensed.
Basic EMT certification.
Graduate of a radiological technology program.
Valid driver’s license in the applicable state and in good current standing.
Ability to work independently.
Complete and successfully pass drug screening and background check.
Good organizational and communication skills, pleasant phone manners.
