ShurMed EMS is seeking motivated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) interested in transitioning to the role of Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT). This is a unique opportunity to advance your career in emergency medical services with comprehensive training provided by ShurMed EMS.

Advanced EMT Primary Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency calls, assess patient condition and make critical care decisions quickly.
• Perform medical procedures as necessary within the scope of practice for an AEMT in Texas.
• Administer medications as dictated by the patient’s condition and within the scope of practice.
• Use medical equipment including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and other advanced tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, treatment provided, and the scene.
• Collaborate with paramedics, firefighters, police, and other emergency personnel.
• Drive the ambulance or other response vehicles.
• Adhere to all state and local protocols, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Participate in regular training and maintain certifications.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current LVN license in good standing.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Interest in transitioning to the field of emergency medical services.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver 150 lbs without assistance and 300 lbs with assistance.
