About the The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Content Strategy to help evolve the fast growing Shutterstock Data & AI business. The team’s scope of responsibilities includes creating and pitching customer strategies, executing new Data & AI partnerships and identifying and incubating new revenue opportunities.
As the Director of Content Strategy, Data & AI you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and positioning Shutterstock for continued growth. You will collaborate closely with our Supply, Product and Customer Teams to prioritize and execute across new content opportunities. Your focus will be on understanding and translating customer content needs and market trends into new revenue opportunities.
The Day to Day
Partner closely with Data & AI New Business and Partner Management teams and join customer sessions to better understand customer needs, trends and opportunities.
Be a strong advocate for Data and AI customers and customer teams by understanding, communicating and executing on customer needs.
Partner closely with Product and Supply teams to understand our existing content (inclusive of metadata) across all business units, identify and prioritize gaps to fill.
Collaborate with Supply, Product and Customer teams to effectively translate and prioritize customer needs into new revenue opportunities.
Collaborate closely with our Supply team to prioritize and support content growth partnerships and acquisitions.
Anticipate future content needs based on the rapidly evolving Data & AI landscape.
Develop, track and assess the effectiveness of content growth initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Contribute to industry thought leadership by authoring and collaborating on webinars, conferences, and other thought leadership opportunities.
Requirements
8 years of experience leading content strategy initiatives with a deep understanding of AI and ML technologies, trends, and applications.
Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging content formats.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills both internally and externally with customers.
Excellent track record of successfully supporting new content growth initiatives, translating customer feedback and market knowledge into revenue opportunities.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively cross functionally.
Innovative and strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and business acumen.

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
