What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drink Runner position at Shy Bear Brewing?
As a Drink Runner, your main job duties including delivering all drinks ordered to their respective tables, coordinate glassware washing and restocking, getting ice for the bar when low and garnish prep work. You will also be cross trained in bartending and serving as you may be required to fill in for necessitous tab creation and management of table ordering. Having a background in food service is not necessary but you will need to learn the inherent differences between all of our beers, cocktails, wines and non-alcoholic drinks and must be able to identify these products by sight along with the ability to make beverage recommendations if guests inquire with you. You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other’s success in a fast-paced environment.

- Understand our Guest-Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
- Make food and drink recommendations to guests and answer all menu- and service-related questions.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with each guest regularly and anticipating their needs.
- Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to listen, understand, and respond to team member and guest requests in a loud environment.
- Skill and coordination when using hands to write, pour, and carry several drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time.
- Ability to work most Thursday and Friday evenings in addition to most of the day each Saturday and Sunday.
- Ability to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures.
- Ability to obtain reliable transportation to the job for each shift you work
- Must be 18 years of age or older
