Base pay is plus $2 differential for overnight hours
Job Summary:
Responsible for handling all infectious disease testing, with a goal of providing 100% accuracy when processing all samples and reporting results to clients in accordance with current OTP/TAT expectations.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Performing sample prep, DNA extraction and PCR.
- Running the KingFisher Flex, Veriti, Accufill and QuantStudio 12K and 5.
- Performing manual pipetting steps with small volumes and into a 384 well plate.
- Provide feedback to lab leadership for continuous improvement on workflow operations
Qualifications:
Education –
- Bachelor of Science or similar with necessary coursework for scientist duties
Competencies/Skills –
- Ability to work independently and strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new changes
Experience –
- Basic understanding of the data and internal controls
- Broad understanding of sterile technique and cleaning for a PCR lab.
