Military Junior Officers Leadership Development Program
This is a position focused on hiring separating active duty military officers (O-2 or O-3) or recently separated military officers (within 2 years of separation date; prior O-2s or O-3s) for a Leadership Development Program to fill Distribution Center leadership positions.
Assistant Distribution Manager (LDP)
The Assistant Manager in the Distribution Center is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations within their assigned function. They perform supervisory and management duties in directing the receipt, storage, and shipment of expendable and nonexpendable items in the Distribution Center.
· Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching, mentoring and corrective actions for direct reports. Collaborate with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture within the Distribution Center, working with direct reports and team members on modeling the company’s values.
· Plan, monitor and execute staffing schedules and adjust as needed to ensure proper staffing levels that support operational demands and business
· Implement continuous improvement efforts by listening to team and customers and implementing root cause solutions.
· Identifies and communicates changing trends as identified through analysis; partners with team to develop a work environment that understands and responds to the need for change.
· Oversee slotting, efficiency/productivity, and inventory of functional area, partnering closely with the other assistant managers, supervisors, and DC Develops and monitors KPI’s associated with those operations.
· Serves as a subject matter expert and works closely with IT, Maintenance, Security, HR and Inventory teams to ensure fluid operations day to day.
· Maintains a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, as well as regulatory compliance policies, and quality control practices.
Location: Ankeny, IA (Des Moines)
Salary: 90k with a 20% annual bonus. Can go as high as 200%, (of the 20%), based on company performance. Expectation is a first year W2 over 100k. Full benefits with 401k, medical, dental, PTO.
LDP Structure: The Program is a 3-year Program designed for veterans or exiting military service-people. DC Assistant Managers-In-Training will rotate between the DC, Demand Planning or Procurement with approximately 12-18 months in each rotation.
Progression: Assistant Warehouse to Warehouse Manager to Region Director. Within that time you can explore other opportunities including Assistant DM, DM, Category Manager, Pricing, Fuel.
