WHAT DOES A SOFTWARE ENGINEER DO?
The Software Engineer / Developer will research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. The Software Engineer / Developer will need to analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. The successful candidate will update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. Additionally, the Software Engineer / Developer will need to maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Requirements
- An active Secret Clearance is required for consideration.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or related discipline with ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.) certification.
- Requires at least 24 credits which must be in their major and a Grade Point Average (GPA) in their major must be at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- NO REQUIRED EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
Degree is REQUIRED, neither an associate degree nor additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree.
