Essential Functions
- Understands personal risks and create deliverables he/she or the consulting unit can provide to help the client meet their goals.
- Works alongside the agency’s team to provide prospects/clients with insurance coverage.
- Gathers client and prospect information for quotes.
- Completes new business applications, on-line quoting and sending submissions out to market.
- Presents proposal to the prospect or client.
- Informs his/her team and agency management of major developments/results in a timely manner.
- Collects initial premium with applications, explains payment responsibilities, and assists in collections of past-due accounts.
- Makes follow up calls/videos/visits after policy delivery for customer satisfaction.
- Logs all activities, including material conversations with insureds and/or carriers, in Epic or other systems as directed by supervisor.
- Attend sales meetings as instructed.
- Refers leads to other teams within the agency.
- Keeps current on carriers, products, risk areas, and legislation that affects prospects/clients.
- Complies with SIA Group’s standard operating procedures.
- One to five years prior sales experience, with insurance sales experience preferred.
- Current North Carolina Property & Casualty license.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- An understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting and rating, to fulfill needs of clients and prospects including but not limited Homeowners, Auto, Inland Marine, Excess Liability, Dwelling Fire, Boats, Recreational Vehicles, Builders Risk and Vacant Homes.
- Acumen to understand and describe the impact of Emerging Risks that are occurring in personal lines that others might not know are occurring but need to know.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk reduction, client/family specific risks, and quantification of risks.
- Risk Transfer mechanisms to eliminate or reduce their risks.
- Proven data gathering skills.
- Proven sales and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical thought processing and high-level problem-solving skills.
- Assertive, self-starter personality.
- High pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must have the ability to be always composed.
- Must be able to use a computer and common business software.
- Must have the ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s license with fully insured transportation.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
