As a Supply Chain Analyst Intern you will participate in purchasing activities supporting the procurement director with the goal to achieve significant total cost of ownership reductions while maintaining / improving product quality and vendor service levels. SC Analyst Intern will perform data analytics, data cleansing and spend analytics while monitoring performances of vendors and the compliance within guidelines and directly solve operational issues with vendors.
Your Impact in This Role
As a Supply Chain Analyst Intern, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
- Researching the market to identify potential suppliers
- Request quotations from suppliers for new and current business opportunities.
- Create bid documents (RFI / RFP / RFQ) to compete suppliers for new and existing business.
- Identify opportunities for agreements to leverage spend with fewer suppliers (Consolidate suppliers across sites within sub-region) especially in direct spend categories such as MRO and Packaging
- Monitoring supplier performance and evaluating suppliers.
- Resolving supplier claims and issues in close cooperation with the clusters Operations and BST
- Directly negotiate certain categories in alignment with the procurement director (director is always involved in strategic supplier negotiations)
- Developing close working relationships with the Sibelco cluster team with regular communications to stakeholders
- Implement procurement policies and procedures.
- Work with clusters to achieve Sibelco supplier reduction targets.
- Support the clusters in implementing new agreements.
- Support the clusters and overall business in achieving sustainability targets.
