Your Role: As part of the Commercial Laboratory Team, the Technician Lab role will empower you to support our commercial department by applying appropriate scientific tests and procedures to any sample submitted for testing and producing accurate, valid results as requested/required.
You will use a range of methods from standard and well-established routines to specially adapted processes.
Shifts: These shifts are second shift M-F between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with rare opportunities to fill in for alternative shifts and weekends.
Some flexibility may be necessary.
Your Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures for mineral processing.
- Maintain laboratory procedure and process logs.
- Keep lab areas clean and safe at all times.
- Identify/eliminate existing and potential process contamination problems.
- Maintain absolute security of the lab areas at all times.
- Keep the supervisor apprised of all process problems and interruptions.
- Assist with construction and maintenance in the lab.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a laboratory setting or plant operations is preferred.
- A working knowledge of instrumentation, lab practices, and handling of chemicals is preferred.
- The ability to work with computers, software, and lab equipment is preferred.
- Fluency in the local language and written and spoken English.
