Job Description
Requires Skills:
- Experience in manual software testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
- Experience with standard software test/QA methodologies (functional, integration, regression testing, etc.)
- Basic understanding of the Linux operation system
- Experience with applications interacting with hardware (motion control, fluidics, imaging, etc) or a strong interest in learning these domains
- Comfortable working with version control systems (e.g. Git) and project management tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Ability to systematically diagnose issues in a complex hardware-software environment
- Capable of reviewing logs to analyze system behavior, and reproducing defects under varying conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document test results and communicate defects effectively
- Ability to work closely with developers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Experience with test automation is a plus
- Understanding of data processing and Python is helpful but not required
- Exposure to testing RESTful APIs with ASP.NET or OpenAPI is advantageous
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to design, implement, and test hardware-integrated software solutions that meet project requirements
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team retrospectives to improve collaboration and deliverables
