Residential and Commercial Estimator

It is required to have at least 1-2 years of experience with insurance estimating or utilizing Xactimate

You need to have be at minimum Level 1 Certified for Xactimate. Again, this job requires proficient knowledge of Xactimate.

Role and Responsibilities

Scope of jobs (Fire and Water Restoration, Remodel, Roofing)

• Sketch, properly notate detailed components of repairs and photo document the 'story' of a loss or homeowners request of work to upload into our CRM (Acculynx).

Estimate jobs and review with PM before submitting for approval

• Complete a detailed line item estimate in Xactimate to include, but not limited to: the detailed sketch of affected rooms (with all openings, area removal of cabinets/tubs/showers/etc), all aspects of the repair with proper measurements, components (material and labor), F9 notes, photos with proper descriptions.
• Hold job reviews on all jobs with PM and/or Super

Weekly (Estimator and PM) - Update Program notes and touchpoints multiple times a week and every Friday while doing pipeline report you will be doing a review of all jobs In the pipeline spreadsheet (in the To Start, In Production and To Supplement sections which includes but not limited to updating all customers, adjusters, programs and CRM with weekly updates and job status as well as updating accounting with trade recaps, invoicing, contract draws, deductibles, etc)

• Stay intimately involved with all jobs from start to finish for supplements, change orders, questions, concerns and for sake of making the required profit margin.
• Complete post-job reviews with Profit/Loss statements and CRM notes to address supplements for potential completed work not listed in the initial estimate that are within the policies of the Carrier/Program.
• Contract Worksheets in CRM needs to be managed accurately throughout the job on all jobs.
• Edit Progress in CRM needs to be managed from Lead status to Approved status
• Make sure all data in CRM, Pipeline reports or any other report required is accurate, coincide and are on time.
• Be on time for all meetings
• Share industry knowledge with Sibley Team members and help train Sibley employees
• Manage phone calls, text messages, emails, group me notifications content and respond immediately as this is part of our vision and values to serve others
• Take on call when scheduled to do so

TIME FRAMES FOR COMPLETING ESTIMATES

o To Contact Customer from Assignment - 1 hour

o To Scope for assignment - 48 hours

o To write estimate from scope - 48 hours ($0-$30,000)

o To write estimate from scope - 72 hours ($30,000 - $60,000)

o To write estimate from scope - 96 hours ($60,000 )

o To supplement from job complete - 72 hours

Responsibilities

• Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand
• Select metrics to produce valid estimates
• Visit sites, warehouses and other venues to gather essential information
• Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data
• Analyze data and produce forecasts
• Perform risk analysis
• Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
• Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes
• Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.)

Skills

• Working knowledge and use of the Xactimate estimating program.
• Proven experience as construction estimator
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
• Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics
• Comfortable with numbers and technology
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Well-organized and reliable
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other qualification will be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
