What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Services Representative - PRN position at Sibley Memorial Hospital?
The Imaging Services Representative performs a variety of skilled and complex clerical functions using a computer and the Imaging Service Department and Hospital Information Systems. Greets and takes care of the needs of our internal and external customers Collects appropriate data to correctly provide the customers with the requested services. Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial data. Creates patient records and/or enter physician orders in the computer. Receives visitors and telephone calls, refers callers to the appropriate department or staff member. Takes action to resolve problems that may arise in their interaction with patients and physicians. Deals with confidential information in accordance with hospital policy
Location: Washington D.C.
PRN evenings
3:30pm-7:30pm (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
PC experience required.
Previous experience working in a health care setting to include medical terminology and familiarity with Imaging Services department preferred, or any combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
Salary Range: Minimum 25.00 per hour - Maximum 25.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
