The Market at Sickles Farm is seeking a Head Cashier to join its growing Team! As Head Cashier you will responsible for providing excellent customer service and facilitating customers transactions by scanning/manual entry of items, bagging/packaging purchases and collecting payments. In addition, the Head Cashier oversees the Front-End operations and customer service ensuring all Company policies and procedures are adhered to under the supervision of the Front End Supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
A Head Cashier is responsible for[nc1] the following job duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
- Analyze customer needs.
- Supervise and handle feedback in a professional manner.
- Accurately answer questions in a timely manner.
- Properly operate Point of Sale system including handling payments such as Credit Card, Cash, Check, Apple Pay, etc.
- Weigh items and ensure pricing is accurate .
- Package items according to Company expectations, policy and law.
- Accurately reconcile cash sales at the end of each business day.
- Upsell the Company Loyalty Program, events and specific items, as assigned.
- Assist with merchandising and stocking of department.
- Assist with store events.
- Actively seek customers to assist on sales floor.
- Perform all other appropriate duties and tasks as assigned (including those outside of your department and outside of your day to day duties to meet business needs).
- Work and remain “qualified” in the position knowing the Working Conditions; Job Requirements and Physical Demands / Requirements that relate directly to the essential job duties and functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation (see below for details)
Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess proficient communication skills in English (to accurately convey information or ideas) in a manner that is understood
- Ability to proficiently read in English
- Possess customer service skills, including interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Aptitude for working independently and within a team dynamic-
- Possess effective organizational skills -
- Ability to pay attention to detail-
- Ability to solve problems and manage a variety of situations-
- Ability to proficiently operate Point of Sale systems and standard office software, such as MS Office
- Possess working knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Ability to count cash in U.S. Dollars
- Possesses proficiency with math skills
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- 1 Years experience Front End experience in a high-volume retail environment
Required education or certifications :
- High School Diploma or GED

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90 % of the workday.
- Must be able to move or traverse for 90 % of the workday.
