Summary
Oversee SMEG Factory Support Team and activities at Pierce Plant. Coordination of Approval and Final Inspection trips with SMEG Sales Team. Monitor the performance of factory staff and ensuring that all visitations are completed in a timely manner and any customers issues are resolved in timely manner and units are ready for shipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide synergy between Pierce Factory Management and Product Teams on In Production units at Pierce
- Provide synergy between Pierce Customer Service and SMEG after sale
- Manage, recruit, training and coach employees, by communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
- Weekly and Monthly Team meetings to discuss visitation calendars for upcoming trips and proper staffing needed
- 100% CRM Participation of Factory SMEG Team
- Oversee the staff and implement strategies to increase productivity of Approval Visits, Mid-Inspections, and Final Inspection Visits (RFPs) of Sales Team.
- Create and update Factory Trip Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by drafting written procedures and performing review and training to Sales Team.
- Monitor and control timely return of SMEG Approval Packets to factory
- Verify Weekly In Production photos are completed and uploaded in timely fashion
- Plan and organize factory visits to verify SMEG personnel availability
- Attend factory customer meals as needed
- Work with Pierce Teams as Liaison for SMEG on issues arising on units in production and customer complaints quickly and efficiently
- Review final inspection E-Pickup issue list, confirming all items have been addressed and corrected 100% before unit is released to ship
- Verify Final Inspection E-Pickup report has been emailed to Service, Sales Rep and Sales Manager.
- Maintain off site facilities in Appleton, WI
- Attend SMEG Sales Meetings and Shows as needed
- Other Duties assigned by Siddons-Martin Management Team
Qualifications

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate/negotiate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency (Pierce Pulse, MS Office Products).
- Photography skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Must work well with Sales Reps., Customer and Pierce Factory Employees
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
- Strong self-motivation skills.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Work experience with Fire Apparatus preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for several hours occasionally and walk long distances around the plant. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
