Job Overview
Side by Side Fury, a leading powersports dealership, is seeking a skilled and motivated Powersports Technician to join our dynamic team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of powersports vehicles, including ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and other recreational equipment. The ideal candidate is passionate about powersports, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on powersports vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure vehicles meet quality standards.
- Assemble and set up new units according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Stay current with manufacturer training and certifications to ensure knowledge of the latest technology.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repairs and timelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in identifying and ordering necessary parts for repairs.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a technician in the powersports, automotive, or related industry.
- Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certifications: Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Honda, Polaris, Yamaha) are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs).
- Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching during work hours.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment.
