Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC, has been engaged by Greenhawk to conduct a search for a Sr. Cost Accountant.
Greenhawk Corporation is a private investment firm focused on real estate and private capital. Greenhawks real estate division is an active investor, developer and operator of residential and commercial real estate focused in many of the fastest growing markets in the southeast. The Sr. Construction Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing financial data related to our development projects, ensuring precise cost tracking, budgeting, and reporting. This position requires a deep understanding of construction and real estate accounting, as well as the ability to work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy and drive project success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and manage new project analysis, budget preparation, job-cost accounting and reporting and cash flow management.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, financial statements, and forecasts specific to real estate projects.
- Review and reconcile project-related expenses, invoices, and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with budgets and contracts.
- Collaborate with project managers and developers to ensure accurate cost allocation, financial tracking, and project profitability.
- Assist in the preparation of project bids, proformas, estimates, and financial projections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in the real estate and construction sectors.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve cost control and financial efficiency across development projects.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
