 Position Overview:

The Director of Event Sales is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of event

management, from conception to completion, for both small and large-scale events at

Sidecar Social Addison and Frisco. This role requires a strong leader who can drive

revenue, manage a high-performing sales team, and ensure seamless execution of all

events while building and maintaining key industry relationships. 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

• Attend industry events representing Sidecar Social to build partnerships and drive outbound sales.

• Conduct market research to ensure Sidecar Social remains competitive in pricing, offerings, and guest experience.

• Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, planners, and key partners.

 

Event Management & Operations:

• Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes for both small and large-scale events.

• Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure seamless event execution and smooth venue operations.

• Handle high-touch and VIP events personally, ensuring top-tier service and attention to detail.

• Monitor the master event calendar, ensuring proper scheduling, space allocation, and preventing conflicts.

• Oversee event inventory management, assisting with purchases and event inventory as needed.

• Address and resolve negative event feedback, proactively implementing solutions for future improvements.

 

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of five event sales professionals across both locations.

• Develop the team, ensuring they meet performance standards.

• Provide guidance on pricing structures, event policies, and client requests.

• Ensure the team is effectively managing their responsibilities and tasks.

• Track and ensure the team is meeting monthly sales goals and contributing to the annual revenue target.

• Conduct weekly team meetings to review updates, challenges, and solutions.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Technology and F&B to develop promotions, packages, and unique event       experiences.

• Ensure alignment across departments to guarantee smooth event execution and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of event experience (hospitality and event sales preferred).

• Expertise in event planning, execution, and logistics, with the ability to manage events of all sizes.

• Ability to handle high-volume and high-touch events while maintaining attention to detail.

• Experience in inventory management and master calendar oversight.

• Tripleseat experience is a plus.

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
