Summary
The Technology Analyst (Analyst) will be a central part of the team responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the Firm’s in-house job opportunities platform, alumni technologies, and related systems. The primary role of the Analyst will be to support activities related to the firm’s career services and alumni data and technologies. They support the efforts to capture and maintain data across platforms that includes, but is not limited to, in-house legal job opportunities, and alumni and key contact information. They will assist in identifying, entering, and maintaining quality of data; leveraging data to support the objectives of the career services team, marketing team, and other key stakeholders; contributing to workflow and reporting development; and performing regular quality assurance checks and outreach. In addition, the Analyst contributes to efforts to drive adoption of and appropriate use of key technologies in support of the Firm’s business development and knowledge management efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Maintenance
- Perform day-to-day maintenance activities to support the in-house opportunities database and related systems, including alumni database and portal
- Perform routine data entry for new career opportunities
- Conduct research for new career opportunities from publicly available sourcesFacilitate routine audits to identify and remove outdated data from in-house opportunities database and alumni database Develop familiarity with the content and configuration of the in-house opportunities platform and integrated data sources
- Assist with data integration, reporting, import and export projects
Data Reporting and Analysis
- Identify opportunities to leverage available data (jobs, contacts, relationships) to improve experience for program clients, and in support of career services team and marketing department objectives
- Contribute to the planning, execution, and design of firm and program data reports that support the execution and objectives of the career services program
- Compile and analyze career and jobs data gathered internally and externally, and make recommendations based on analyses
- Identify, track, and interpret in-house opportunities database metrics and undertake metrics-related projects to maintain and improve processes, data quality, and overall user experience
- Develop visuals for internal team and firmwide reports
User Support
- Provide basic end-user support for "how to" questions and technical issues
- Update standard configuration documentation and related end-user materials for the -house opportunities database and related systems
- Identify opportunities to improve and/or add to the in-house opportunities database and related processes and integration sources
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. Target Salary Range
$82,000 - $92,000, if located in IllinoisQualifications

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of two years of experience working with practice-related information and processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines and priorities
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity with legal technology such as experience or expertise systems, research tools, work flow systems and/or legal project management or practice management tools
- Basic understanding of law firm structure and business practices, as well as practice-specific terminology
- Knowledge of various external research tools such as Lexis, Westlaw, CapitalIQ, Thomson MonitorSuite and other resources
