The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the branch manager in the overseeing the Member Service Rep operations to ensure that the office is run in an efficient and productive manner while maintaining compliance with overall credit union policies and procedures. You will act on the branch manager's behalf in their absence. This position requires the employee to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry and obtain a unique identifier number prior to performing any function that would meet the definition of MLO activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Manages the Member Service Representative line in all phases of daily operations, including staff training, orientation, interviewing, scheduling, and timekeeping for payroll.
Assists branch manager in all aspects of the security and maintenance of office property and equipment within the area/space used for conducting SFCU business.
Responds to technical/operational questions from credit union staff and makes appropriate recommendations.
Perform annual performance evaluations as well as regular coaching sessions for Member Service Reps.
Responsible for performing periodic audits of Member Service Rep. procedures and cash drawers.
Assists branch manager in handling unusual problems or situations concerning member accounts, including delinquencies.
Performs lending function at the branch, assists branch manager in overseeing loan administration at the branch, approves loans within lending authority limit.
Responsible for all Vault-related duties.
Attends meetings within branch, community, or at main office as instructed or in the absence of the branch manager.
Cross sells all credit union services to qualified members whenever possible; solicits business accounts.
Performs all functions within the branch as needed.
Keeps informed of the latest changes in consumer protection laws, current credit union policy and procedures, and credit union issues.
Adhere to the Service & Sales Culture, including staff training, coaching, and quarterly evaluations.
Be involved in credit union and community events.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills Computer system knowledge required.
Lending authority required.
Above average interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
A professional appearance and willingness to work flexible hours as required.
