What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Surgeon position at Sidney Regional Medical Center?
SRMC is searching for a Board-Certified General Surgeon to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions.
- Perform surgery to treat conditions and injuries.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Create and recommend treatment plans.
- Intake patient medical histories.
- Update patient information and charts with the latest findings and treatments.
- Order tests for health care staff to administer.
- Review and interpret test results.
- Respond to questions and concerns from patients about their health care and well-being.
- Work with various medical staff such as CRNA’s, family practice providers, and nurses to provide extraordinary patient care.
- Potential to provide APP oversight and respond timely to their needs.
- Rotational call required.
Requirements:
- Board certified General Surgeon from an accredited medical school.
- Current, or must be able to obtain, M.D. licensure in the State of Nebraska.
- Certification in BCLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS required; SRMC will help obtain.
- Current, or must be able to obtain, State and DEA Licenses.
