Job Summary:
As a Field Service Technician at Sidus Solutions, you will be responsible for the installation, integration, upgrade, and repair of our subsea and hazardous area monitoring products. You will work both offshore and topside, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service and technical expertise. The ideal candidate is proficient in electronic, mechanical, and computer systems, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain subsea and topside equipment, including cameras, lights, and inspection systems.
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Execute preventative maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Analyze machinery performance, document findings, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions and technical manuals.
- Operate, test, and maintain test equipment or related automated production systems.
- Inspect parts for defects and prepare accurate and detailed documentation.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in electronics, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in field service, preferably in the subsea or hazardous area monitoring industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in various field locations.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, with a strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, fluid power technology, and electro-mechanical devices.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and safety regulations.
- Travel to customer sites Domestically or Internationally for systems integration and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with robotic systems and automated production equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
