What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daily Substitute Teacher, Lower School position at Sidwell Friends School?
Sidwell Friends School, a co-educational Quaker day school, seeks qualified per diem substitute teachers for all subjects in grades PK - 4. Applicants must have a relevant college degree, some experience working with children, and certified in CPR/First Aid.
The most desirable candidates will also be able to demonstrate proficiency using digital and online platforms for remote instruction as well as proven effectiveness as a classroom teacher in a brick-and-mortar setting.
School hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Because of the nature of a school environment, there may not be substitution possibilities every day.
Teaching positions at Sidwell Friends School are campus-based; therefore, this position requires teaching in person. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required; however, if you are not CPR/AED certified you will have the opportunity to complete the course upon hire.
