Front of House (Catering)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our catering team as a Front of House Staff member. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for our clients and guests during catering events. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

  • Address guest inquiries, provide information about menu items, and accommodate special requests.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly resolve any issues or concerns.

• Event Setup and Breakdown:

  • Assist in the setup and arrangement of catering events, including table settings, decorations, and buffet displays.

  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

  • Efficiently breakdown and clean up after events, ensuring the venue is left in pristine condition.

• Service Coordination:

  • Work closely with catering managers to execute event plans and timelines.

  • Ensure that food and beverage service aligns with event schedules and client expectations.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and support staff to maintain a smooth flow of service.

• Quality Control:

  • Monitor food and beverage presentation for adherence to quality standards.

  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in the front of house area.

  • Perform regular checks to ensure all equipment is in working order.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to deliver a cohesive catering experience.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or adjustments during events.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or catering role is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold for kitchen appliances.

• Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and typing.

• Physical effort/lifting is medium - up to 50 pounds up to heavy - over 50 pounds.
