About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bakery Manager to lead our full-service bakery operation. The ideal candidate has strong experience in both managing a team and producing a wide range of baked goods, including bagels, breads, cakes, cookies, muffins, and other pastries. This role combines leadership, creativity, and operational excellence to deliver high-quality products and a smooth-running bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bakery operations including production, scheduling, inventory, and staff supervision.
- Lead and participate in hands-on production of baked goods: breads, cakes, cookies, muffins, pies, and desserts.
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and freshness of all products.
- Train, mentor, and manage bakery staff, including bakers, pastry cooks, and front-of-house support.
- Develop and update recipes, seasonal menus, and custom order offerings.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food and labor costs.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and special orders as needed.
- Monitor and improve workflow, productivity, and efficiency in the bakery.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a commercial bakery, including management experience.
- Strong hands-on baking and pastry skills with a deep understanding of ingredients and techniques.
- Experience managing a team in a fast-paced food production environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen equipment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset.
- Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler’s Card (or the ability to get one).
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. under State and Federal guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
