Role Summary
Our Production Manager will manage the day-to-day production of doughnuts which will then be distributed to customer facing locations in and around the area. The Production Manager will follow and uphold all company guidelines, maintain and follow our training programs and foster a culture of development for all employees. This position can expect to work 50-hour work weeks, 10-hour shifts - 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain food costs at or below budget
- Responsible for hiring and training new employees in accordance with company guidelines
- Adheres to all recipe standards and makes recommendations for improvement
- Oversee regular inventories and ordering of food product and supplies.
- Manage and report all waste.
- Daily quality assurance and production audits
- Ensure sanitation practices are being used in handling and preparing food in the kitchen. Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the Company.
- Trains and coaches employees during each shift to ensure Company and brand standards are being met.
- Uses tools to accomplish goals, manage labor and control inventory.
- Maintain schedule and oversee all Doughnut Chauffeurs (Drivers)
- Performs additional tasks as requested by Management and as needed to successfully run the store.
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years experience in a high-volume, scratch-kitchen production facility
- Must have Utah/SLC Health Card and ServSafe card
- Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
- Proven track record of producing quality, consistent safe food and cultivating a positive back of the house environment.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
- Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Constant face-to-face interactions with employees and customers.
- Safely navigate in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to multi-task and remain positive in busy working conditions.
Working Conditions
- The Production Managers can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours, and will have additional opening/closing responsibilities.
