About The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to oversee the IT and technology infrastructure for our multi-location, multi-state retail and hospitality operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing point-of-sale (POS) systems, property management systems (PMS), reservation platforms, e-commerce, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure across all locations. This role ensures operational efficiency, enhances the customer experience, and drives business growth through technology integration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Implementation:
- Develop and execute an IT roadmap that aligns with the company’s multi-location, multi-state retail and hospitality goals.
- Oversee the implementation, optimization, and integration of POS, PMS, CRM, ERP, and e-commerce platforms across all properties.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, such as self-service kiosks, mobile ordering, AI-driven personalization, and contactless payment solutions.
IT Infrastructure & Security:
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of IT systems across all retail stores, hotels, and hospitality venues in multiple states.
- Oversee data security, PCI compliance, and cybersecurity measures to protect customer and business information.
- Manage cloud services, network infrastructure, and data centers for seamless operations across all locations.
- Implement IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans for multi-state operations.
Operations & Efficiency Optimization:
- Enhance technology-driven operational efficiency, including inventory management, workforce scheduling, and supply chain systems across multiple locations.
- Ensure smooth integrations between IT systems for seamless omnichannel operations (e.g., online booking, in-store and mobile purchases, loyalty programs).
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through IT automation and improved workflows across all states.
Customer Experience & Digital Innovation:
- Leverage technology to enhance the guest and shopper experience, including mobile apps, digital concierge services, self-check-in kiosks, and personalized marketing strategies.
- Oversee loyalty programs, data analytics, and CRM tools to improve customer engagement and retention.
- Drive e-commerce growth by optimizing online booking systems and digital retail platforms.
Vendor & Team Management:
- Manage IT teams across multiple locations and states, including system administrators, cybersecurity professionals, and software developers.
- Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective IT solutions across multiple markets.
- Train and develop IT staff, ensuring they stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in IT leadership, with experience in multi-location, multi-state retail and/or hospitality industries.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Strong expertise in POS, PMS, ERP, CRM, cybersecurity, and cloud computing for large-scale operations.
- Proven ability to implement and optimize retail and hospitality IT systems to drive business growth.
- Experience managing e-commerce, mobile applications, and digital transformation projects.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance, PCI DSS, GDPR, and data privacy regulations across different states.
- Ability to manage large-scale IT budgets and drive cost-effective solutions across multiple states.
- Willingness to travel as needed to oversee IT operations in various locations.
