About the Role: 
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Cook to join our full-service bakery team at Bagelmania. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience creating a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, muffins, and assorted desserts. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and creativity of our pastry offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, and other desserts from scratch.
•    Follow and maintain standardized recipes while ensuring high product quality and consistency.
•    Assist in developing new seasonal or specialty items.
•    Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques, including piping, glazing, and fondant work.
•    Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
•    Monitor oven and baking times and temperatures.
•    Collaborate with the pastry and kitchen team to fulfill daily production goals and special orders.
•    Assist with inventory management, rotation of supplies, and reporting of shortages.
•    Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

•    Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial bakery or pastry kitchen.
•    Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler’s Card (or the ability to get one).
•    Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
•    Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to volume production.
•    Experience with cake decorating and dessert presentation preferred.
•    Dependable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
•    Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to stand for extended periods.
•    Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
•    Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.

•    Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. under State and Federal guidelines.
