About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical analysis. This role involves conducting site investigations, analyzing subsurface conditions, and providing engineering recommendations to support civil and structural design projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, borehole logging, and in-situ testing.
- Perform geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and earthworks.
- Prepare geotechnical reports, recommendations, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with civil and structural engineers to integrate geotechnical findings into project designs.
- Evaluate soil stability, settlement, liquefaction potential, and other geotechnical risks.
- Utilize geotechnical software for analysis and modeling.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, including field investigations and design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical laboratory testing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing geotechnical engineering practices.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
