Your role
SUMMARY: The OPEX Director will be responsible to develop the OPEX strategy in the site. The role will be able to benchmark operational excellence concepts to be applied in the Pennsville site for increased efficiency. The role will be able to lead and influence without authority and be able to challenge the status quo across functional teams in all departments, but not limited to manufacturing, supply chain, business processes like procurement, HR and finance, with the sole purpose to increase performance. The role will drive and influence all continuous improvement efforts, will increase the performance and develop and apply optimization tools across all the site's departments. This role will develop and implement the Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing strategy and culture to enhance operational effectiveness in the site. The roll will identify opportunities and implement improvements by utilizing best practices in the industry with respect to Operational Excellence and best-in-class concepts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Proficient in leading Kaizen events, GEMBA walks, 5S audits, Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED)
- Proficient in leading Root Cause Analysis Methodologies in any context across the site
- Proficient in Production Systems
- Proficient in procurement, finance and SAP for analysis of COGs and financial variances to find opportunities, develop strategy and achieve increased validated improvements
- Proficient in leading Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.
- Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, six sigma methodologies and their application
- Advanced problem-solving strategies
- Proficiency in MRP software, MiniTab or similar
- Familiarity with CMMS
- Experience with FIFO and Supply Chain concepts for inventory improvements
- Experience in Kanban, JIT and other concepts used in Lean
- Proficiency in energy consumption analysis and improvements
- Proficient in waste reduction in the site
- Experience in calculating OEE (overall Equipment Efficiency) and apply it for Technical Availability increases and quality improvements and debottlenecking.
- Drive the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor effectiveness of operational processes.
- Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement by utilizing statistical principles and make proposals based on analysis
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, create proper metrics and implement improvements to increase operational performance.
- Identifies and implements cost reduction projects
- Design and implement improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity.
- Regularly report on global and local performance metrics and provide insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Adheres to personal moral, ethical, legal, and behavioral conduct that is in compliance with the Siegfried Code of Conduct.
- Implements and adheres to all applicable SHE, DEA, and cGMP regulations.
- Experience with Sustainability practices including EcoVadis qualification and validation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field with 10 years of relevant experience
- MBA is preferred
- Must have excellent role model/leadership capabilities.
- Ability to organize data, construct visual data-analysis, infer/interpret data to propose actions for continuous improvement
- Black Belt Certification
- Proficiency and proven track record on process mapping tools and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the following:
