What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Tech position at Siema Construction, LLC?

Key Responsibilities

Conduct quality control testing on asphalt, concrete, and other construction materials.
Perform sampling and testing according to Louisiana Department of Transportation and

Development (LADOTD) standards.

Organize and implement sampling programs as established by LADOTD specifications.

Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.

Ensure minimum testing requirements are met and proper test procedures are followed.

Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to address quality issues

Calibrate and maintain testing equipment

Prepare and submit quality control reports to project management and LADOTD representatives

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

LADOTD certifications in PCC Paving or PCC Plant

Knowledge of LADOTD specifications and testing procedures

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data entry software

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field

Additional LADOTD certifications (e.g., Structural Concrete Inspector, Embankment and Base Course).

Experience with materials testing equipment and procedures.

Familiarity with quality assurance / quality control (QA / QC) principles in construction.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed on construction sites

Requires travel to various project locations

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of testing equipment

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction environments
