As an intern in Technology Ecosystem and Portfolio Strategy team, you will develop best-in-class cloud ready sample application software for our growing technology software partner network. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, modify, and implement state-of-the-art reference architectures and cloud-based sample applications for our vast technology ecosystem partners with focus on flexible, scalable and reusable cloud components. You will be responsible for interfacing various Siemens Digital Industry Software components to create easy-to-use sample applications using best-in-class AWS cloud building blocks like Microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka Streaming, IoT Hub, Serverless and various modern Database services. You will also create, document, and execute software designs which may involve complicated web user workflows or multiple product interfaces. Projects will focus on two main disciplines:
Cloud Software Development
- Designing & Developing web-based applications, services, and systems
- Develop cloud platform services with a microservice-based architecture, API based integration and Event driven applications
- Design for variety of cloud deployment models including hybrid, cloud, containerized and serverless options
- Experience with Identification, authentication, data & API security services
- Construct modularized, independent functional applications compatible with Siemens Xcelerator platform
- Follow Agile, DevSecOps methodology. Experience using GitHub, RAML/OAS, Postman and other API toolset
- Adhere to best practices in coding, documentation, test automation, and deployment
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) environment
- Integrate with other Siemens platform components like Teamcenter, NX, Zel X, Insights Hub etc.
- Experience with Python, Go, Java, JavaScript (with Node.js), C and other object-oriented programming
- Assist in maintaining our existing software product by analyzing and defining solutions to reported problems
- Work with partners to help onboard, extend and re-use the developed applications
- Ensure ongoing quality of our software product for our customers
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or a first year Master’s student, in Computer Science
- Modern web development languages like Python, C required, JAVA script preferred
- Cloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) experience in EC2, S3, Cognito IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda and ECS (Container) is preferred
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling Software and MEXDIX low-code platform is a plus
