As an applicationengineer for our small gas turbine (SGT) fleet in North America, you willprovide technical support for the region! Your location is Orlando, Florida.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
DevelopService-engineered solutions to meet product line requirements for small gasturbine (SGT 100-400) service and outages.
Address emergent fieldservice issues to support customer requirements for the Lincoln-based units(SGT100-400), in the IGT Engineering group.
Provide engineeringsupport for ongoing outages through direct interaction with field servicepersonnel and providing technical support for outage planning activities withthe local Project managers.
Developing andimplementing service bulletin procedures modification orders on the existingfleet.
WhatYou Bring
A bachelor’s degree (orforeign degree equivalent) in Engineering is preferred.
2 years of experiencewith gas or steam turbine operations is required.
Experience with smallgas turbine (Lincoln units) component design and service is a plus, along witha strong background in rotating machinery, manufacturing methods, andmechanical engineering.
Proficiency in controlsystems (Allen Bradley, Siemens PCS7, Siemens T3000), SAP, and overall digitalliteracy is required, with experience in auxiliaries and package design relatedto SGT being desirable.
Strong problem-solvingskills, attention to detail, and the ability to work remotely (internally andexternally) are essential, along with effective oral and written communicationskills; approximately 5% domestic travel is required.
Applicants must belegally authorized for employment in the United States without the need forcurrent or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energyemployees who qualify for visa sponsorship may be eligible for internaltransfers.
