How You’ll Make An Impact
- The Director of Forced outages advises strategy for forced outage events with the DSO and platform teams. While they work closely with customers, insurance companies, heavy lift contractors, the supply chain and the factories to bring power plants back to service after forced outage events
- Manages teams to ensure that all aspects of the customer relationship are maintained. Identifies and manages the resolution of more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills to deal with most situations. While developing Budgets, and schedules for forced outage events. And work with internal and external customers to develop complex maintenance plans.
- Oversee the planning and estimating to develop complex proposals. While leading the teams to Perform the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
- Lead the collaboration of the platform team including LTP, Sales, Warranty, and parts to provide “best-in-class” customer service. While continuously develop employees through training and coaching. Ensure managers are effectively developing their staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to continuously improve Siemens Energy products and service. Effectively lead the organization once decisions are reached at a staff level.
- Communicate key technical, commercial and customer issues upward to Senior Management and other Staff Members.
- BS/BA in a business-related field/Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 10 years of experience in Power Generation Service including field service
- You will be required to travel up to 30%
- You shall possess experience in general maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated equipment.
- You must hold experience in working with union & non-union labor
- You will have experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software
- Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States
- Approachable, organized, active listener, clear communicator, collaborative, customer-focused
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
