Perform duties related to proving technical support and general guidance to support shop floor and assist with coordination for manufacturing parts. This ME / CNC Programmer will generate CNC programs offline for Turning Boring & milling machines. Also critical to this role is process engineering, cutting tool design, and shop floor support.
Strong communication, organizational, collaboration skills and attention to detail are the most important personal requirements that allows the programmer to perform within the role.
- Develop machining strategies related to produce part in the most effective process. And create Process models and necessary fixturing for programming. While creating and modifying offline CNC programs

Validate CNC programsData management utilizing a PLM SoftwareSiemens Teamcenter experience preferredOutput and edit output code to run automatically on requested work center.Create setup and supporting documentation to adequately instruct factory personnel on the loading and execution of automated manufacturing method. And organize and plan work optimally to produce output according to budget and schedule constraints. And troubleshoot machining results and work holding issues with production personnel to optimize manufacturing process. And create / provide reports to upper management, while performing other duties as directed.Qualifications

AS in Machining Technology or related experience with a minimum 5 years’ experience as an offline CNC programmerProficient in cutting tool design and specification with Knowledge of feed and speed calculations for optimal material removal rate.Working knowledge of NX Cam Simulation and open to learning new software including Vericut, and TeamCenter and proficient reading and interpreting blueprints.Proficient with GD&T both ASME Y14.5 1994 and ASME Y14.5 2009 requirements.Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, precision inspection personnel and shop floor employees with good digital literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook requiredPower Generation or Aerospace background preferredwill work in a dynamic fast passed manufacturing environment working on various technical products. The day will start off attending a Gemba meeting to understand project status and obstacles for the day. Can go from performing a root cause analysis for a manufacturing defect to supporting a new product qualification.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
Provide technical leadership and expert execution of Manufacturing Safety, Quality, Processes, Technology, and Execution of Product Workscope while ensuring manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions, MIs, job briefings etc.Analyzes shop floor inputs (data & findings), design requirements, and manufacturing capability to formulate robust manufacturing engineering recommendations.Leads a Manufacturing team for successful execution of a product through the shop (both preparedness and in process support of shop floor execution)Develops and implements manufacturing processes and tooling specific to the product, applying sound engineering judgment and methodologies.Ensures safety and quality requirements are met during component manufacturing to internal and customer requirementsManufacturing Engineering leader in the preparation of detailed manufacturing information (Routing, Special Tooling Costs, Risks, etc.) for new product, processes, and technology into manufacturing and process Service Notifications (SNs), Quality Notifications (QNs) in SAP. Make recommendations to Design EngineeringWhat You Bring (requirements)
Technical Degree required preferably in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering – equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.3 years related work experience in engineering or manufacturing is required. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.MRP experience is preferred – SAP experience is emphasized.Ability to apply continuous improvement methods to increase manufacturing quality, efficiency, reliability, and cost effectivenessHighly motivated to adapt to and / or improve dynamic and complex manufacturing processesEffective communication skills both oral and written will be highly valued within the Charlotte manufacturing network (e.g., design engineer, project management, purchasing, MF CoCs, tendering, business administration, sales).Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
