The main goal of this position is to conduct NDE inspections such as Liquid Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Eddy Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Visual Inspection, etc. on products, document, and outline operational and inspection results, and confirm compliance with all Coordinated Management System and customer requirements.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Perform inspections on CTQ dimensional measurements, applying Certified Level II NDE requirements. Validate documentation compliance and approving in OIL. This can include scanning and uploading validated documentation into SAP or the QN. Confirming operations as complete in both Oil and SAP. You will be responsible to build, verify work/rework, and close quality notifications.
- You must have completed Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) classroom training with "certificate or equivalent experience" to be eligible for the Quality Technician Role. Note: Any Charlotte internal candidate holding Level II VT, MT and PT certification will be considered first for this specific role. To maintain the quality inspection role, you must become level II certified in VT, PT and MT. Job will be filled based on Qualification and not seniority. Interview will be required.
- Must be proficient with gauging (i.e. ID/OD mic’s, depth mic, caliper’s, no-go/go gauges, tri-mic’s, thickness gauges, weld gauges, etc.). Be willing to learn specialty gauging such as faro-arm, laser tracker, white/blue light scanning, etc.
- This specific Quality Technician role will support Manufacturing Hot Gas
- High School Diploma or GED plus 2 to 4 years of experience working with products that have complex geometries.
- The ability to read, write, and to complete electronic reports and forms.
- Ability to do shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Complete all requirements for NDE Level II Certification in at least two methods/techniques.
- Candidates must demonstrate computer reproducibility in using Microsoft Excel and Word and should have experience in performing visual inspection of complex parts with complex geometries, show proficiency in using non-destructive inspection techniques, fixtures and tools which includes hands on dimensional measuring skills and proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Candidates with background and experience in testing and inspection, component repair and manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Control and/ Inspection is mandatory.
