The Technical Sales and Proposal Specialist is a dynamic and multifaceted role supporting the sales and service teams by providing technical expertise, preparing detailed proposals, and ensuring exceptional customer engagement. This role involves working across departments to deliver tailored solutions in the energy sector, particularly focused on power transformers and related services.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Proposal Development and Risk Analysis
  • Create comprehensive and competitive proposals for power transformer services, including installations, maintenance, and testing.
  • Evaluate project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while maintaining cost efficiency for the customer.
  • Technical Expertise and Sales Support:
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, logistics, and field service) to gather technical information and ensure feasibility.
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to the sales team and customers, addressing inquiries and tailoring solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Customer Interaction and Relationship Building:
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance throughout the sales process.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to discuss maintenance plans and provide post-service support.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years in a technical sale, estimating, or engineering role, preferably in the power or electrical industry.
  • Experience with transformers services
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and tools like Salesforce.
  • Ambition, drive, and a positive attitude.
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn. Collaborative team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
