Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Repairs Department Test Technician. Under the direction of the Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting and diagnosing electronic component failures, performing related repairs on electronic products, subassemblies, and components, and testing electronic products to ensure they meet engineering specifications. This position requires strong knowledge of electronic components and experience in PCB-level component troubleshooting to effectively carry out the necessary repairs and testing processes. You will report to the Production Supervisor and / or Team Leader.
What your day-to-day will look like :
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies to meet defined engineering specifications.
- Read and understand all related drawings, including but not limited to assembly drawings, schematics, bills of material (BOM), and test procedures.
- Complete visual quality inspections of labels and hardware checks.
- Perform point-to-point continuity checks on products prior to electrical testing.
- Utilize test equipment, including but not limited to multimeters, function generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, wave analyzers, and Bench Test Equipment (BTE).
- Perform component-level PCB soldering and desoldering.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and utilize all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in 5S activities and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
- Have a working knowledge of common hand and power tools and test equipment.
- Provide assistance to the Team Lead and other Repairs Technicians with necessary or applicable assignments in the testing process.
