Teamcenter: Software Quality Engineer
Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery. Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. Technical lead of one or more projects within one area of a product. Provides input to the technical direction for one area of a product. Occasional consults with customers in regard to future upgrades and products. Able to solve complex technical problems. Provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Works with minimal supervision on complex projects with wide latitude for independent judgment. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency and technical expertise.
The person in this “Quality Engineering” role will perform following functions:
• Ensure implementation of user stories and customer requirements encompassing all 4 Agile Test quadrants
• Review planned user stories for test coverage, participate in Story grooming and Sprint planning
• Writing test code for validating software implementations
• Building innovative approaches and enhancing existing automation test suite
• Enumerate Test scenarios for Agile User stories covering all agile test quadrants (Q1-Q4)
• Plan and execute Performance, E2E, Scenario, Exploratory, User Experience, first customer Experience etc. testing aspects through the release
• Triage Automation failures, raise and track defects, refactor and update auto-test suite on a regular basis
• Perform Agile Scrum activities (daily scrum, updating stories and tasks, sprint reviews)
• Active participation in “Root Cause Analysis” and “Lessons Learnt Exercises” to improve implementation in next releases
• Implement SAFe Agile practices for Quality certifications
• Self-learn, to keep up with fast-moving technologies
Additional responsibilities include:
• Documenting design, testing, or story details for a proposed implementation of a software feature or service
• Automating a suite of test cases
• Reporting out research findings to the broader team or organization
• Mentoring interns or junior Quality Engineers
Requirements:
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer/IT/Mech Engineering
- Conversant with software engineering and agile SDLC
- Experience in Java/C development
- Knowledge of scripting in Python, Shell, Jenkins.
- Industry exp. Required (including internship experience)
- Familiarity with testing tools Selenium & ALM tools
