Test Engineer Job Description
The Siemon Company is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to support our R&D Lab. This individual will be responsible for developing test specifications, analyzing product design, and recommending improvements or corrective actions. They will also provide information on product performance to customers, engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and marketing. The Test Engineer will apply mechanical, electrical, and reliability engineering principles to establish valid test methods and qualification criteria in support of product development testing activities.
This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, quality standards, and manufacturing methods. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and experience working in a laboratory environment. Additionally, they should be familiar with various regulatory/compliance areas, basic knowledge of statistics, and methodical work habits. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (2-10 yrs)
- Knowledge of Engineering test methods and analysis, Manufacturing methods/processes, and Applications Knowledge
- Exposure to and knowledge of Quality standards (ISO 9000)
- Knowledge of various regulatory/compliance areas
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Methodical, organized, and detail-oriented work habits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with laboratory equipment
- Demonstrated ability to utilize PC and other tools to accomplish activities
