Siena Catholic Schools of Racine is seeking an energetic and creative Communications Coordinator to join our team. Scope and Summary: The Communications Coordinator will help to create and promote Siena Catholic Schools’ identity and mission to students’ parents, the public, and employees to increase brand visibility and to reach the organization’s strategic goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Communication and public relations building, including (but not limited to):
Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization.
Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization.
Plans, prepares, and distributes original promotional content such as articles, news/ press releases, newsletters, emails, social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
Assists with events as instructed by the Chief Advancement Officer.
Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for select special events.
Maintains appropriate paper and electronic records.
Updates Siena website and social media channels.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be organized, thoughtful, and a clear and effective writer and communicator. Discretion and confidentiality are critical. A self-motivated, creative individual with strong relationship-building skills will find Siena a place to grow spiritually and professionally. A commitment to Siena’s mission is a must.
1-3 years of progressive experience in marketing/communications or a related field (education, marketing, development, public relations, etc.).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent knowledge and use of social media platforms.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required.

Work Relationships & Scope
Reports to the Chief Advancement Officer. Frequent contact with Admissions and Development offices. Occasional interaction with other Siena colleagues. Expected to exhibit sound judgment in making decisions, remembering that Siena's interests may be directly affected by their actions and decisions. Secures the approval of the Chief Advancement Officer in making decisions when answers are not clear and further guidance or input is needed.

Work is performed in a pleasant indoor office environment with travel to regular outside the office meetings and events. May be exposed to heat, cold, wetness and high humidity when traveling to, or at, events. Work hours are somewhat flexible and include some evenings and weekends. Ability to work longer hours, as needed.
