What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Treatment Technician Supervisor position at Siena Francis House?
Hours of work for this position are scheduled by the Program Director Sunday through Saturday, with a 40-hour workweek. Evening, overnight and weekend treatment technician supervision is a regular part of the job. Typical hours are evening hours scheduled between 12 PM and midnight. The incumbent will have rotating ‘on-call’ responsibilities every 3rd weekend and will be required to respond to emergency and other situations during and after normal business hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee daily operations of the Miracles Program, including recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising Residential Treatment Technicians and evaluating activities for positive outcomes.
- Trains, evaluates and develops direct care program staff. Training includes orientation period and ongoing.
- Follows up to ensure compliance of organizational policies and procedures as well as quality care of Miracles Program Participants.
- Organizes and oversees Residential Treatment Techs work schedules.
- Responsible for staff recruitment in the Miracles Program including working with human resources to post openings, screen applicants, set up interviews, and check references.
- Directs and coordinates program activities and ensures activities are carried out in accordance with state licensing, accreditation standards and organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensures policies and procedures regarding residential housing are being followed.
- Ensures the Miracles Residential Treatment Program protects and promotes the client’s health, safety, security, and well-being.
- Assists with coordinating vocational service work assignments.
- Ensures Residential units are maintained properly.
- Maintains client data in accordance with agency confidentiality policies including nightly bed counts and applicant waiting lists.
- Inputs secure client data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and electronic medical record.
- Assists Program Director in providing client data relative to grants, state and federal guidelines.
- Organizes and schedules meetings and organizes agendas.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience working with homeless and/or in a shelter, residential setting, with adult clients experiencing mental health and drug dependence disorders.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ability to use computer to enter data and create reports in databases and other software.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately resolve crisis situations.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and ability to set limits.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience training and supervising experience. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Basic working knowledge of Windows (MSWord, Excel and publisher). Good working knowledge of e-mail and Internet and HMIS/Clarity.
