We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service to our residents. The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring that meals are prepared, served, and maintained in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary requirements.
- Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Buss tables and assist with the cleaning of dining areas after meals to ensure a pleasant environment for residents.
- Support the dietary department by restocking supplies and assisting with inventory management as needed.
- Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure that resident preferences and dietary restrictions are met.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety, sanitation, and dietary practices.
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure smooth operations within the food service department.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dietetics principles, especially in an assisted living or healthcare setting, is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal preparation and service tasks.
- Ability to sanitize kitchen equipment and dining areas effectively.
