Seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities and medical offices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
Sienna Hills runs 12 hour shifts 6a-6p; 6p-6a; or 10a-10p if we have interested applicants. We are currently hiring 1 day shift and 1 night shift STNA.
Duties
- Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the resident
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel and the general public
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must possess the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Must possess the ability to display patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Must be able to complete all other tasks as assigned by facility Administrator, Director of Nursing, Nursing Supervisor, or designee
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant, or State Tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state of Ohio.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical office protocols.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift patients safely and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Previous experience in assisted living or similar settings is a plus but not mandatory.
